Dealing with acne is never fun. It’s particularly not fun when you have a visible blemish right before an important event. Everyone deals with acne at some point or another, so no one will blame you for having a noticeable blemish. But that doesn’t make it any more fun. It is easy to become emotionally stressed if a large blemish develops right before an event where you want to look your best.

    Do fast acne remedies exist?

There’s no guarantee for overnight treatment of acne. After all, pimples are irritated and sometimes infected pores on your skin. Like a very small wound, it’s unlikely that a blemish will heal completely overnight.

That said, there are some things you can do to help deal with your blemish by not making it worse and helping to make it less noticeable. Here are a few tips.

    1. Don’t make it worse. Poking or prodding at a zit, as you probably know, can agitate the skin even further. Yes, it’s tempting, but it will not help you any. Resist temptation to ‘force a pop’ when it really isn’t ready. The less you handle your broken out skin, the better.

    2. Stress counts. Stress is part of what can trigger acne breakouts because it changes hormones and causes the body to secrete extra oils. If you’re stressing about your blemish right before a big event, calm down. The stress can only make it worse—both for your skin and your mind!

    3. Get realistic. If you have an event tomorrow and a bad zit today, it won’t disappear entirely. Don’t expect to find a product that will make magic happen. Right now, the goal is minimizing. Set a realistic expectation or you’ll be upset over something you can’t control.

    4. Overnight spot treatments. Spot treatments are special products designed to work on individual blemishes by hitting them with a hard dose of anti-biotics, oil-absorbing chemicals, and other useful acne-fighting compounds. These aren’t meant to be applied all over your face (which would include healthy skin), but only on individual blemishes. DO follow the directions.

    5. Natural remedies. Some people swear by natural remedies to deal with their acne. Tea tree oil is an essential oil and one of the most popular natural spot-treatments.

    6. Prevent next time. If your acne is bad enough to cause you emotional stress, you may want to switch to a more intensive acne therapy or even see a dermatologist. Take good care of your skin and find a system that works for you so that you’re not worried and looking for fast acne remedies next time an event comes up.
