Accutane’s use should be considered thoroughly or used as a last resort for those who see no other alternative for treating their acne.  Accutane for some might be an option, but before making that choice you should know that it can cause severe side effects not only in healthy human beings but also in women who are pregnant.

So what is accutane ?

Accutane’s generic name is Isotretinoin , it is a form of Vitamin A, what accutane does is reduces the amount of oil that skin glands produce and help the skin renew itself faster. Accutane is generally used for the treatment of whats called nodular acne,  nodular acne is larger than normal acne  often as large as the size of a pencil eraser , nodular acne can create big lesions if not cared for properly and it is best not to squeeze or pick at it becuase it can  cause large scars in the long run.

Some of the side effects of accutane can include

    Hair loss
    Depression
    Fever and  chills
    Joint stiffness
    Back pain
    Dry lips
    Itchy peeling or dry skin

So before considering using Accutane make sure you consult with your doctor first , allthough your acne may be severe , please take in to consideration that taking accutane can be worse.
