Eight stages of acne treatment
It might be difficult sometimes to tell if your acne stage is serious or what can be done to control it. Less severe acne cases can typically be controlled through over-the-counter creams and scrubs along with healthy diets, while more severe acne cases might need the care of doctors. Here are the acne stages you need to know and what would typically be needed for its control.

Stage Zero

This acne stage is highly common and happens in the majority of people out there. Identifiable through breakouts which include small blackheads and whiteheads and sometimes even inflammation, conscious cleaning and healthy diets would normally be all it would take for acne control at this particular stage. When untreated, this type of acne usually gets worse. Therefore, controlling things quickly would be of the utmost importance.

Stage One

This acne stage looks exactly like the previous stage, except there are more pimples and more frequent breakouts present. People who are more conscious about acne control at stage zero and see things get worse should try over-the-counter acne creams and scrubs for these breakouts.

Stage Two

This acne stage is identifiable through more pimples called papules, solid skin lesions that are raised yet typically small. This acne stage can usually be controlled through over-the-counter items that have salicylic acid in them. It is usually ideal to use product regimens like scrubs, washes, creams, moisturizers or astringents.

Stage Three

This acne stage looks like the previous stage, but with continuous and more frequent breakouts. If acne gets continuous or no longer responds to regimens put to use in the previous stage, it would be high time to visit a doctor to take a look at it.

Stage Four to Five

As with the stages mentioned above, these acne stages look very much alike. However, they differ in their breakout frequency. Pustules start to come about and it would definitely be high time to see dermatologists.

Stages Six to Seven

Cysts and nodules will start to come about during these stages and will soon be followed by scarring. Dermatologists will also start to take measures that are more serious.

Stage Eight

This acne stage happens after stage seven gets continuous and more severe. Fortunately, nowadays, more treatments and technologies exist that are more effective for this acne stage. However, the greatest defense against this acne stage would be conscious treatment in earlier stages. Also, always remember to drink a ton of water and to follow a healthy diet. Good luck!
