The oil glands of the skin are where the acne generally props up as it is either blocked by dirt or secrets more oil than the normal level.  The extra oil becomes the feeding ground for bacteria and thus inflation sets in.

Anxiety is the main enemy of acne, because anxiety about acne will only worsen the condition. Undue worry and desperate attempts to get rid of it over night are some reasons for acne getting acute. It is good to understand that it is a natural simple disorder and work out plans to stop spreading it. Consulting a doctor can help immensely rather than trying out home remedies as some of them can cause allergies and worsen the problem by creating rashes or aggravating the acne further.  The basic rule is to keep the skin clean by washing it two three times a day with a mild detergent. Food habits also result in acne and thus avoid too much of oily food and drink lots of water.
