Getting Rid of Cystic Acne Scars
Lady looking in mirrorSuffering from bad acne scars? Well, you no longer have to. There are a lot of different methods that are now available to help remove, or at least reduce, the scarring that has been left by acne. No matter what kind of acne scars you have, there is a method out there that can help you.

When choosing the right scar removal methods for you, remember that all cases for everyone are different, meaning something that worked for your friend, may not work for you. However, do not lose hope if the first method you choose does not work on you. If the first thing you try does not work, there are other treatment options out there that you can try.

Sometimes it may be common to combine more than one type of treatment option. This can help reduce bad cystic acne scars that will not seem to go away. Some doctors will choose to use one or more of the following methods: chemical peels, laser therapy, or augmentation. If these methods do not work, then doctors may choose to move on to punch techniques, dermabrasion, or even subcision.  Also, do keep in mind that just because a treatment option costs more, does not mean that it is better. For some people, certain options just work better than others.

There are a lot of different types of treatments for cyst acne scars out there. However, it's hard to choose a treatment option if you do not know what it is. So now we are going to go over a few of the different treatment methods and what they include.

  • Augmentation – This is normally used to remove crater like scars. This is were collagen is normally injected into the crater scar. This helps the scar fill out and become less noticeable.
  • Dermabrasion – This kind of treatment is normally done with a wire brush that is rotating at high speeds. By using this wired brush, you are able to remove skin from the face evenly. This helps to reduce the look and appearance of scars.
  • Laser Therapy – When using this kind of treatment option you will be able to remove very deep scars. The best thing about laser therapy treatment is that it does not damage the skin, meaning that this is one of the few treatment options that does not need a lot of healing time. The only problem that comes with doing laser therapy treatment is that it is not covered by all health plans.

The best thing to do is to have your scars taken care of right away. As people age, their scars normally become more pronounced and sometimes be harder to remove. It is aways a good idea to have the scars removed on younger skin. This means that the skin has a better chance of healing.
