  •  If you want to get relief from the painful swelling, which usually accompany mild acne, you could take a small face towel and use it to give the affected area some alternate cold and hot compress. This simple remedy not only helps in the reduction of swelling but also helps in the opening up of clogged pores. Remember, blocked pores can make your acne condition more serious.
  • There are several useful oils and juices that help in getting quick relief from acne. It may sound strange, but oil or almond is excellent for removing acne scars. Try smearing juice of apricot if you have cystic acne as the juice has a marked positive effect on mild form of acne. You have probably heard about this – cucumber juice is very good for the skin, even in normal conditions. You could use this juice along with lettuce or carrot juice to get excellent relief from acne. Juice of some citrus fruits is also good for acne. For example, smear your face with the juice of one lemon – it would be the most natural defoliant that you can think of. Remember that the juice has to linger and dry on your skin for about 10 minutes before you rinse it with plain water. 
  • Honey is known for its anti-bacterial properties. Next time you are using a facemask, consider honey mask as it not only purifies your skin, but prevents further acne attacks as well. You could consider using this facemask at least 2 to 3 times a week for best results.
